The HCC827 cell line was established in March 1994. The tissue donor smoked one pack of cigarettes per month when aged 25 to 26, and stopped smoking 12 years before diagnosis. The HCC827 cells possess an acquired mutation (E746-A750 deletion) in the EGFR tyrosine kinase domain.
