Description
Hela Luciferase Cell Line engineered for stable, high-efficiency expression of the luciferase gene. This advanced tool delivers exceptionally high imaging quality and precise, quantifiable luminescence, ensuring your data is both robust and publication-ready.
Designed for versatility, the Hela Luciferase Cell Line seamlessly adapts to a broad spectrum of applications—from promoter activity assays and mammalian two-hybrid studies to sophisticated in vivo imaging.
Hela cell line is the first non-aneuploid epithelial-like cell line derived from human tissue and maintained in continuous culture. Hela cell line was established by G. D. Gey et al. in 1951 from the cervical cancer of a 31-year-old black woman. Upon re-examination of the original tissue section samples, Jones et al. diagnosed it as adenocarcinoma. It is known that this cell line contains human papillomavirus type 18 sequences and requires operation in a Level 2 biosafety cabinet. Hela cells are positive for keratin and have low expression of p53, but express normal levels of Prb (retinoblastoma tumor suppressor).
