Description
NCI-N87 Luciferase Cell Line engineered for stable, high-efficiency expression of the luciferase gene. This advanced tool delivers exceptionally high imaging quality and precise, quantifiable luminescence, ensuring your data is both robust and publication-ready.
Designed for versatility, the NCI-N87 Luciferase Cell Line seamlessly adapts to a broad spectrum of applications—from promoter activity assays and mammalian two-hybrid studies to sophisticated in vivo imaging.
NCI-N87 cells express surface glycoproteins carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and TAG72, and lack dopamine decarboxylase (DDC) activity. NCI-N87 cells have very low vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) receptor activity and lack gastrin receptors. They express muscarinic cholinergic receptors. There is no evidence of rearrangements in the N-myc, L-myc, myb, and EGF receptor genes in NCI-N87 cells. The expression levels of c-myc and c-erb-B2 RNA in NCI-N87 cells are comparable to those in other cell lines. The following genes are not expressed in NCI-N87 cells: N-myc, L-myc, c-cis, IGF-2, or gastrin-releasing peptide. The plating efficiency of NCI-N87 cells has been reported to be 4.3%.
