Designed for versatility, the RAW 264.7 Luciferase Cell Line seamlessly adapts to a broad spectrum of applications—from promoter activity assays and mammalian two-hybrid studies to sophisticated in vivo imaging.
RAW 264.7 cell line was derived from Abelson murine leukemia virus-induced tumors; it is negative for sIg-, Ia-antigens, and Thy-1.2 surface antigens. RAW 264.7 cells do not secrete detectable viral particles and are negative in the XC spot test. RAW 264.7 cells can phagocytize neutral red and engulf latex particles and zymosan, and can antibody-dependently lyse sheep red blood cells and tumor target cells. Treatment with LPS or PPD for 2 days can induce RAW 264.7 cells to lyse red blood cells, but has no effect on tumor target cells.
