Designed for versatility, the SW480 Luciferase Cell Line seamlessly adapts to a broad spectrum of applications—from promoter activity assays and mammalian two-hybrid studies to sophisticated in vivo imaging.
SW480 cell line originated from primary rectal adenocarcinoma, while SW620 cell line originated from lymph node metastasis one year later in the same patient. They are negative for CSAp and rectal antibody 3; positive for keratin immunoperoxidase staining. The G→A mutation at codon 273 of the p53 gene causes an Arg→His substitution, and the C→T mutation at codon 309 leads to a Pro→Ser substitution. The expression level of p53 protein in the cells is increased, and the expression of oncogenes c-myc, K-ras, H-ras, N-ras, myb, sis, and fos is positive. The expression of oncogene N-myc was not detected.
