Description

MDA-MB-231 was derived from pleural fluid of a 51-year-old female patient with metastatic breast adenocarcinoma. It can form poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma (grade III) in nude mice and ALS-treated BALB/c mice. The cells express the WNT7B oncogene.
