Description

NCI-H460 cell line was established from the pleural fluid of a patient with large cell lung cancer. NCI-H460 cells express p53 mRNA, which is easily detectable and at a level comparable to that of normal lung cells, indicating no overall structural abnormalities in the DNA of NCI-H460 cells. NCI-H460 cells are positive for keratin and vimentin fiber staining; negative for neurofilament triplet protein.
