SHP-77

SHP-77 retains the important characteristics of small cell lung cancer (SCLC), possesses stable biochemical properties, and can be cultured continuously. This cell line is an uncommon undifferentiated large cell mutant of SCLC. Although it exhibits the morphology of a mutant, it maintains the biochemical characteristics of classic SCLC. Electron microscopy observations reveal the presence of glandular formation and intracytoplasmic lamellar bodies. This cell line expresses neuroendocrine markers L-dopamine decarboxylase and dense core secretory granules. SHP-77 can be used as a target for detecting the toxicity of 51Cr and 111In release on cells in vitro and in nude mice, to assess the immune response levels of cells and serum in lung cancer patients. This cell line can be used to evaluate the immune status of SCLC patients undergoing radiation or chemotherapy.
