Description

SV-HUC-1 cell line was established by transfecting normal ureteral tissue with SV40 virus. Repeated tests using African green monkey kidney cell plates to detect the production of infectious SV40 have yielded negative results; SV-HUC-1 cells may activate the virus under stress conditions, such as exposure to chemical reagents.
