This cell line is a clone of the Jurkat-FHCRC cell line, a derivative of the Jurkat cell line. This cell line was derived from the peripheral blood of a 14-year-old boy and can produce large amounts of IL-2 after induction with phorbol ester and either lectin or anti-T3 monoclonal antibody (both types of induction are required).
